Gave it as a housewarming gift. It's lightweight but cooks as good as the heavier dutch oven. Very surprised.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the looks of this, and the lid fits nice and tight. While this is a dutch oven, it doesn't have the heft that I associate with dutch ovens that allow them to hold heat longer than regular pots. And as expected, while it heated up pretty quickly on the stove, it didn't hold the heat all that well while I was cooking, especially at lower temperatures. The nonstick coating works well and rice releases easily. My big complaint, however, are the handles. Even at low heat, the handles were too hot to hold without using a towel or mitt. This is a pretty significant issue as I don't expect to need to use something to grab the handles when cooking on the stove-top, particular at low temperatures. It will certainly limit my use of the pot to occasional.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE that this dutch oven can be multipurpose! You can use it as a regular pot on the stove, start it on the stove and move it to the oven, or just use it in the oven. The lid is safe up to 500 degrees, so anything you want to cook in it is great! And, unlike a normal cast iron dutch oven, this one doesn't require special cleaning or seasoning. AND it is WAY lighter in weight than a cast iron dutch oven. I'm sure it makes the flavor a little bit different, but everything I have cooked in it so far has been great. I made a big soup it in last night, and the beef browned better than I had expected, and it didn't stick and was super easy to clean out. It heats evenly also like a cast iron pan which helps things cook better. It says it is dishwasher safe, but I prefer to hand wash most of my bigger pots to make them last longer and keep them looking better. I know this has little bearing on the product, but I also like that they come in multiple colors that are beautiful - not just the ugly black of cast iron. I highly recommend this product and look forward to testing out many more dishes in it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Granitestone 5 Quart Dutch Oven has been super nice to have in the cooler months! I love the forest green color of the Dutch Oven. It's darker green with a glitter shine to it, it's very pretty! This isn't a normal Dutch Oven! It is super light weight and easy to pick up and move around! It also has a non stick coating, which is also nice as well. It can also be used on top or in the oven just like any other Dutch Oven. I've made anything from breads to soups in this Dutch oven and I feel as though it works as well as a heavy duty one with out the heaviness. The only thing I do not like is the handles are a bit small and hard to hold. I wish they were a bit bigger. They also get super hot which I feel is normal but where these are kinda on the smaller side it's just super inconvenient. But all in all for someone that has a hard time with heavier options I would highly recommend this one!
