It is definitely a beautiful quilt. However it does not lay like the one in the picture. We just purchased a king size mattress – a standard king cash and the quilt barely covers the mattress itself. We have rotated it and tried several different ways but it just barely comes over the sides of the mattress. If you look at the dimensions of a king size mattress - 76" × 79.5" (wX L) and compare to the dimensions of this quilt, which are 105 X 95, which means if you our the quilt long side across, it comes two and a half inches over the standard 12 inch mattress. Nothing like the picture shows. We will probably keep it because like I said it is a beautiful quilt.
