I expected better quality

Overall, the set is nice which is why I went with two stars instead of one. If just a showpiece, than yes, this is a great set… but, for a functional table, it is just subpar. The finish on this table is horrible. Even with the use of placemats, a table cloth and coasters, yes, things happen and you would expect normal wear and tare over time, but seconds after a drop of syrup or placement of an alcohol swab for a few seconds during an emergency, and the finish is permanently stained or was lifted off completely with a cleansing solution. For the cost and purchase location, I would have expected more than a show piece, and again, a functional table…

Nice Set But Many Issues

I really love the set but had issues with the chairs which several were wobbly, parts not stained, screw caps missing. I also didn't feel the "white glove service" was not what I excepted: shoes still on, didn't inspect furniture. Also the color of the set is not "ash brown" as stated in the description. The color is more a greenish brown. I also ordered the credenza which was suppose to be here two weeks ago and still has not arrived - I'd like to know where it is?

Chairs are unstable and wobble. Macys has given me an appointment to have the chairs inspected in 10 days just to determine the issue. And then a decision will be made as to how to correct the problem. I was expecting a high quality product and good customer service. In addition, the delivery men didn't inspect the furniture and didn't even wear shoe covers as stated in the white glove delivery method that I paid for. When I called Macys, the customer service representative stated that if I return the set, I would only get a refund of 85% of what I paid for. I will not purchase any more furniture from Macys and I hope those of you who read this comment won't purchase either.

I bought this to jumpstart a kitchen refresh and I’m very happy with it! The quality is good. I’ve had it now for about four months. I keep it round, but knowing it can expand to oval is a good option if needed. The construction is good, I’ve had no issues with it at all and it looks great in my kitchen. Totally recommend this! The color is a light green with gray undertones. It is not gray. Just be aware. It is perfect for me..

The chairs are very comfortable and stylish, exactly what I expected. The set is beautiful. Unfortunately, the wood finish on the table top is much softer than the wood on the chairs. With normal use, the finish on the table top is peeling and small spots are appearing. These spots are increasing in size with usage. Because of this issue, I am very disappointed with the quality of this merchandise.
