So, as one reviewer stated, the ankle strap is extremely short and only meant for very thin ankles. Well, I liked the sandals and didn't want to return them. So I wrapped the ankle strap only once, created a new latch hole and cut the excess. This maybe helpful for others who have this same issue. They are really nice sandals so if you are willing to modify them then they should fit nicely.

Poor manufacture

The ankle strap is too short, imposible to tie around. Not recommended. Back to store they went.
