Low level crock pot
First glance at the product. It is extremely light weight, the aluminum on the outside feels like it can be easily dented, the power cord is short. There are only 3 feet on the bottom which makes quite a wobbly setting, it could also use grippers to stop it from sliding around, It just feels cheap. While using it, there were noticeable hot spots and the exterior was not well insulted which resulted in the exterior being quite warm which is not good when you have toddlers in the house. I know this is a “slow cooker”but it took some time to actually heat up to where it was doing the actual cooking.

Great Shaped Crockpot
I really like the size and shape of this crockpot for larger and oddly shaped items. I like the color black as it goes with most everything. I noticed a strong smell the first time I used it (assumed it was from the heating element) but since then it doesn't smell. I haven't quite figured out the black strap and how to have it catch on the handles.

Heats too hot
I received the Hamilton Beach 5 Quart Portable Slow Cooker. The first thing I noticed was that the metal ring on the glass lid had a groove, which allowed the glass to move around slightly and make a clicking sound. I used the slow cooker to make queso for our movie night, but the low setting heated up quickly and was too hot for the cheese, causing it to stick to the sides. It also heated unevenly causing one side to get too hot and the other side only warm. I did, however, like the strap that came with this slow cooker that would keep it from spilling while traveling if I wanted to take the slow cooker to another home or work.

5 Quart Portable Slower Cooker
I love this 5 Quart Portable Slower Cooker it doesn't take up too much room on the counter. You can cook almost anything in this slower cooker. I put chicken breast in there the other day & set it and forgot it lol it cooked about 5 hours and half. So I'll be using this slower cooker every other day. You should definitely get one

Great Slow Cooker
This 5qt slow cooker is the perfect size for chili, making a meal for a potluck or even cooking a 4 to5# chicken. I use cooking bags with it to make clean up easier, but that's just my preference. There's ample room to fit everything and i like that it heats up & maintains temp consistently. I also appreciate the glass lid as opposed to a plastic lid. The rubber ring to secure the lid seemed a little small, so i probably wont use it to transport it -- it was very hard to get on when the cooker was empty, so i can only imagine the hazard risk of a burn if it was full of hot food. Overall, im more than pleased with it & would definitely recommend it for purchase.

Slow Cooker
I love my new slow cooker, i always get Hamilton Beach, this one is oval shaped 5 quart cooker and it has a lid latch strap on it, now i can take with me to pot luck dinners and not worry about the lid coming off, Im making chicken soup today to take to my daughters as she has been sick with the flu!!!

No Frills Slow Cooker
This 5 quart slow cooker is a no frills basic slow cooker. It does the job as promised. My firsr item to cook was whole sweet potatoes with the peel, a lazy way to bake several at one time without using the oven. I cooked them on high as my directions instructed; they cooked with no problem even though I did 2 layers instead of one. The slow cooker has 4 positions, off, keep warm, low and high. The top is clear so that you can see how well whatever you're cooking is doing. The outside does get hot so you will need to be aware and take proper precautions as you would any stand alone kitchen accessory that heats. A strong elastic cord to keep the lid in place when carrying or traveling with the cooker is a plus. I do regret it doesn't have a light that shows when it's on and the cord to plug it in is quite short. I do believe that's supposed to be a safety feature but I personally find it more irritating when you have a limited numbr of outlets on your countertops. No light, short electric cord and the fact of how hot the outside gets is the main reason for my rating of 4 instead of 5 stars. If you are in need of a slow cooker and don't want any bells or whistles of the more sophisticated models, this is the one you want.
