Quality is ok, but not as good as it was
Good quality underwear, but not made as well as a couple of years ago. Material is thinner, and some edges, such as the flap in front, no longer have extra fabric to maintain integrity. This leads to the flap opening up, and less comfort as the day goes on.

Skimps Out on Cloth in Crotch Area.
In the past, these briefs had a double-layer of cloth that was the full width of the crotch. When I reordered, a change in the cut resulted in the double layer narrowing to only about an inch of width, with the remainder being only a single layer of cloth. They maybe saved a few cents on the cloth, at the expense of full double-layer coverage over the crotch. I thought I had found the perfect briefs, which is why I ordered three more packages. Now I will have to return them and look elsewhere. Note to Hanes: I'd rather pay more for quality, than save money but get an inadequate product.

TOTALLY AWESOME Briefs!!
As a high school baseball coach in my mid 30s, I move around, workout, and run a lot, which means I need good supportive underwear. Since I can’t stand wearing boxer briefs and boxers are out of the question, I wear briefs and only briefs 100% of the time…specifically plain white cotton briefs, or “tighty whities” as some guys call them. For years, I wore Hanes white cotton briefs 24/7, but I ended up switching to another similar brand of briefs because of quality and comfort issues. Then a couple weeks ago I went to the store to buy more briefs but they were out of the brand/size I’d been wearing. The only options were a store brand I didn’t like and these white Hanes Ultimate briefs that I’d never seen before. After feeling how soft the cotton fabric was, I decided to try them out…and how happy I am that I did since these briefs are awesome! Not only are they insanely soft, but they fit perfectly and stay snug all day even after wearing them to run, workout, etc. I also sleep wearing just my briefs as well, and these are so comfortable to sleep in or even just hang around the house wearing these tighty whities and a soft white Hanes t-shirt. After buying that first pack of these Hanes Ultimate briefs, I went back a week later and bought two more packs. Though I’m still wearing my older pairs of the other brand, I’m gradually phasing them out in favor of these, as they are so much better in every way. My older brother is also a coach, and he also wears only plain white cotton briefs just like me. When changing at my house after a run the other day, he happened to notice I was wearing my new Hanes Ultimate briefs and he asked if he could try on a fresh pair of mine (thankfully we wear the same size briefs). That night he texted me to ask where I bought mine so he could buy some of his own because he loves wearing them just as much as me. So to Hanes I’ll say…please PLEASE keep making these Ultimate briefs, because you have at least two satisfied customers in me and my brother. You’ve definitely made two tighty whities guys very happy!

Fit - Hanes Men's Briefs
I gave 3 stars only because I believe men's Hanes brief underwear is a bit too full in cut, causing discomfort and slippage. They are being washed in the washing machine to try to shrink them a bit, but to no avail. Is it my body structure, wrong size ordered. I am only 145 lbs., 5.9 and a half with a 32-inch waist. Hanes suggested a medium for a 33-inch waist.

The wicking process really works.
The improved design and the method of design makes them far better than my old style of cheaper under ware, happy to order two more packs.
