Requires a box spring!

I called Macy’s Customer Service before purchasing this to clarify whether a box spring was required. They said that it did not. When the mattress delivery occurred (from a different company) they said it would ruin our mattress to put it on the frame as is. We had to scramble to find someone who would sell us a box spring that day. Huge hassle! Once it was assembled it looks nice but headboard is a little flimsy.

Lovely quality!

The material is heather with white and darker gray colors, quality look. Could not beat the deal for a Calking, looove! Keep in mind this ships at a cost, furniture is not part of free ship.
