Beautiful but not practical

I got the bed in black. It was delivered and put together, and it is very beautiful. However, it is very difficult to put mattress cover and sheet on the mattress because the side boards are very high. The corners and feet in front stick out very far, so every time I pass by them, I get stubbed toes or bruised knees. I have to return it. With the lower height box spring and mattress, the bed is very high. Too bad as it is quite stunning.
