Formula change failure

Dark chocolate kisses formula change has ruined cookie. Peanut butter cookies with Hershey kiss on top - regular chocolate fine - new ingredient dark chocolate kiss collapsed into a molten pool. Did anyone there kitchen test these prior to a release? New ingredient PGPR.
