Massage Recliner Chair with Heat, Swivel Rocker with Footrest,
Product details
Web ID: 20901413Poorly designed
I really wanted to like this chair—it has a beautiful color and an inviting look. Unfortunately, the comfort just isn’t there. The seat pillows are overly soft, and the middle cushion feels overstuffed, while the headrest is under-filled, making it hard to rest your head comfortably. The “armrests” are simply Velcro-attached pillows, which shift around easily. Getting up from the chair takes some effort, as there are no firm arm rests to push up on. Think more of a sumo-style squat with a couple of rocks forward before you’re free.
Bad recliner
Came in 8 pieces, instructions were bad pictures and no written instructions. I called customer service, man told me there was no assistance available and that nothing could be done to help. After 9 hours we finally got it together. It is so uncomfortable even my grandson hated it. I am trying to send it back.
Recliner Chair for Pneumonia Recovery
We bought this recliner to help with recovery from pneumonia and needed something that would elevate the chest while sleeping. In my opinion, every home needs one recliner for recoveries from various minor illnesses; elevating the chest for sleeping is a game-changer. The good: The massage function works well, and I’ve ended up liking the rocking feature much more than I expected. The color is a rich, warm brown, and the fabric feels comfortable and pleasant to the touch. This is summer in Texas, and we have not tried the heater function. The pricing and delivery is great. The bad: The side arm is basically just a pillow, which offers no real support for older adults who need to push themselves up out of the chair. The seat depth is generous, which is nice, but because the arms aren’t firm, you have to sort of jump so your back and butt are situated properly. My elderly relative finds it challenging to get into and out of. If they could just make this chair with supportive armrests, they'd be a 5!
NO SELF ASSEMBLE
Too low seated. assembling not a choice.
Not as advertised nor comfortable
Received recliner and started assembly. Instruction manual is by pictures, not by good written instructions. Chair does not recline far back. The foot rest only comes a few inches off the floor when extended and slopes very uncomfortably downward. Don't plan to stretch out on this chair unless you are a very short person. The recline position and the upright position are difficult to obtain. You have to slam the footrest back hard to return to upright position. A broken zipper came with the unit. A black, thick ,cheap (wrinkled in a few minutes) cushion, not matching the chair in color or fabric came with unit to add height to the seat so that floor-to-top of seat measured what they advertised. This is false advertising and it is illegal. It is an uncomfortable chair. It came in Sunday, and on Monday I am seeking to return the chair for a refund. Contacting Macy's customer service also. I gave it two stars because the rocking/swivel function of the chair seems to be good.
Comfy
Nice chair - comfy but lumpy. Hopefully with a bit of time those lumps will go away. You have to assemble the entire chair - not just set the back on the base. Thanks to my nephew who was here to help bring the chair into the house and then assemble. The leg extension is a bit short. Fits me fine, but my husbands feet hang over.
