Automatic open stopped working in 2 months

This can is a nice idea but failed to last a few months. I've tried changing batteries out but nothing has helped the auto opening to work. Neither the push button or sensors work. It's also difficult to get trash bag in and out using the plastic rim that holds it in place. It's not worth the money, we are very disappointed in this product considering how much we spent :(
