Terribly disappointing

How in the world are any of the cars meant to stay on the track!!! I've just put this together for my boys and we are all left annoyed and frustrated with what we thought were going to be exciting and fun loopy-loops! Very disappointing.

My grandson enjoyed the Hot Wheels Triple Rings set. 2 cars would have even better.
