Top quality mattress that should’ve felt softer
This mattress is beautiful, luxurious, lush and extraordinary! That’s why I cannot understand why it felt so very firm for over 3 months of trying it. Pushing a hand into the mattress proves the cushioning IS luxury plush, so I guess it’s my overly-sensitive body that just needs something different. I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic hip bursitis and disk problems which require a VERY SOFT, plush mattress or it hurts me. To get some decent sleep I had to sleep in my guest room on a soft, tighttop Simmons mattress until we returned the Aireloom. My 215 lb athletic husband also felt it was too firm. i’m 148 lbs.and didn’t make a dent in it. This mattress could easily support 2 people each weighing 300 lbs. Quality-wise, it deserves 5 stars. I suspect my experience is unique.
First pain-free sleep in years!
I have slept on various mattresses over the years, including Tempur-pedic, but this one takes the cake. After letting it air out for a few hours when it was first delivered it was ready to go. The mattress is made when ordered so it comes fresh from the factory and warrants some airing out of the materials. The first night I was a bit apprehensive thinking I might need some sort of adjustment period and as a result I was sensing everything from the dimples or tufts to the level of give and firmness. But before I knew it I was fast asleep. Score! The next test was the morning after - would I wake up with the typical stiffness and aching that I had become accustomed to. I got out of bed and did my usual rubbing of my lower back to ease the expected pain. But to my surprise there was none! I did a couple of bends and stretches to see if maybe the pain had relocated but again, none! Over the succeeding nights the experience remained the same - excellent support and comfort with pain-free mornings. Additionally, motion transfer is not an issue and edge support is very solid. A word on sleep style as this may affect comfort. I am a side and back sleeper and more support may be preferred if you are a stomach sleeper. But all in all, I am extremely happy with this mattress.
A good night’s sleep at last!
As someone who has been dealing with disc issues in the cervical and thoracic spine for over ten years, this mattress is priceless. My husband and I have searched in vain for the right mattress that would fit my needs, as well as meet his preference for a firm mattress that would support his lower back issues. Despite spending a considerable amount about five years ago for a competitor’s mattress that we thought was the solution, I have spent many nights during that time period sleeping on the couch to avoid keeping my husband awake as I tossed and turned trying unsuccessfully to find a comfortable position. I am happy to say those days ended when our new Hotel Collection by Aireloom Handmade 14.5 Luxury Plush Euro Top Mattress was delivered! I felt like Goldilocks when I first tested it and and determined that it was “just right”. While that has happened before with other mattresses, after the first or second night, that “just right’ feeling deteriorated, and I am back on the couch struggling to get a few hours sleep. With the Aireloom mattress, that “just right” feeling has continued to thrive; and I can’t emphasize enough how much it means to sleep so comfortably night after night after so many years of sleep deprivation. My husband is also a big fan of the mattress, and says it has improved his quality of sleep significantly as well. The Hotel Collection Aireloom mattress does an excellent job of offering support while also providing a comfortable luxurious feeling. One of the problems I’d had with previous mattresses was that, while I wanted the mattress firm for support, I also felt stiff and uncomfortable, with the inability to get my pressure points comfortable. I would find myself propping pillows between the mattress and my body to ease the pressure, defeating the purpose of the firm mattress. With the design of the Aireloom mattress, pillows are no longer needed, and my pressure points feel like they are floating on a cloud. I attribute this to the carefully thought out design and effective use of combining layers of the mattress, each with a specific purpose. I also love the hand tufting (see picture) and feel that this also plays a significant role in the comfort specifically related to pressure points. The mattress design also has the characteristic of absorbing motion, so my husband and I are much less likely to wake each other up when we do change position during the night. Additionally, the use of the copper infused talalay latex in the design is definitely effective in temperature control. Our upstairs bedroom tends to get hot in the summer, and feeling hot/sweaty during sleep has been an ongoing problem on those nights in the past where I have tried sleeping in the bed. With the Aireloome mattress, there is a definite improvement in my body temperature while sleeping, even though daytime temperatures have been in the upper 80’s/low 90’s since our mattress arrived. We opted to go with the 5 inch box spring; and even so, the combination of the box spring/mattress with our 12 inch bedframe height brings the top of the mattress to 31.5 inches in height (picture shown to give idea of this). While it seemed very high to us at first, my husband and I quickly discovered we liked the height. It is much easier to get in and out of the bed, now that we’re used to the difference. However, for someone a couple inches shorter than my height of 5’3”, it may be too high to get in and out of the bed without some type of stool. I would definitely go with the 5 inch box spring rather than the higher one.
The best mattress!!!
We have had this mattress for a week so we had time to get accustomed and adjusted to the new mattress in order to provide a review (even though we loved it since the first night). I have to mention also that the white glove delivery service was excellent, very kind and professional people. With that said, this mattress is like a dream, It is super comfortable, has great support, keeps you cool and it is obviously very well made, every little detail is carefully and perfectly finished, even the bottom part that is not visible when it's on the bed is clearly well made, and you can tell only premium quality materials were used to build this mattress. It is a well-constructed, heavy mattress; it has two handles in the sides of it which makes the moving or turning easier Something I love is that you cannot feel the other person moving around right next to you, I also like that it is tall, which fit very well into our base. We both love it, and are definitively sleeping better, we recommend to anyone looking for a mattress, this one is 100% worth it. The only complaint we have is that we do not want to get out of bed in the morning.
