Very firm mattress

tltd: this is a very firm mattress only for who is looking for extreme firmness. Please do try it out first at store before pull the trigger. background: i am side sleeper with arm under pillow. As kid I used to sleep at wood bed with cotton padding, so i know i can handle extra firm. My previous 2 mattress was mainstream brand name "medium" and "firm" coil mattress, both give me shoulder pain due too soft. So I decide to change to a mattress that is a lot firmer and go by this one. Feeling: this mattress feels more old style, total different than the current mainstream design. it have very strong support with 2-3 inch of padding. It feels like you are laying on top of very thick mulch. The top padding is cotton and wool, these two material does sink and have smell (wool i guess). Result: it does solve my shoulder pain. But it does feels too firm even for me, I guess firm version may be firm enough already. Overall: good choice for people seeking firmness
