Nice plates

These are great plates. However, we have about a dozen of the same series, same name, same color that we bought a year ago. These match the old ones for color and shape, but are about 1/4" larger diameter than the old ones. Can't see why it was necessary to change the size without renaming to indicate appropriately.

I think these are great!

I like these plates and bought them to use with my Wedgwood grand gourmet bone china pattern. I don't see that they are any different from my Wedgwood. It matches it perfectly. You couldn't tell the difference without looking at the stamp on back.

New Cheaper version

Very disappointed. The new versions of these plates are thicker, heavier and darker than the originals. Just much cheaper verisions. The originals were lovely. That sux that replacements are so cheap.

Excellent Quality

These plates are much heavier than the other Hotel Collection bone china dinner plates I purchased 2 years ago. Bone china is more durable than porcelain plates. I love the white color which looks nice on a dinner table and contrasts with a colored tablecloth.

Not like it was

I registered for this china and have loved it for years. when one dinner plate broke I rushed to replace it. Unfortunately, these plates are lower quality now than they were before. They are thicker and heavier than they were originally. I suspect they now have more stone in them, making them cheaper to manufacture but lowering the quality. Also, the dishes no longer say "bone china" on the bottom as they once did, which I find really suspicious. Disappointed in the decline.
