difficult to tie

The drawstring cannot be managed by a 5 year old so the child cannot be independent in dressing! These shorts would be great if they had an elastic waistband. As is, a child can’t wear them to school because he needs adult assistance to pull the drawstring tightly enough and make a bow or a knot to hold it in place. Then if he knots it, he needs help the next time he has to use the bathroom to get the knot undone! a complete inconvenience for the child and the adult!!!
