Has all the right messages for children

I was intrigued to read this children's book after watching a television interview as well as listening to a radio interview with the author, Ainsley Earhardt. She is one of the morning hosts on the Fox News Channel and is very religious. She has a young daughter, and this book is dedicated to her. When Ainsley was growing up and it was her birthday, instead of her mother just wishing her "Happy Birthday", she would always say, "I'm so glad you were born". Ainsley was so used to hearing this on family birthdays that when her fellow Fox hosts had birthdays, she would say "I'm so glad you were born" to them also. They weren't used to hearing such a lovely saying on their birthdays, but at the same time I'm sure it sounded just a little weird! The gist of this childrens' book is to let the child know that they are a unique creation from God, with special gifts and talents that they will one day contribute to the world. And even if they have failures in life, they are still loved and believed in. God has a purpose in mind for each one of us, so just keep working and going forward with the gifts you have. Ainsley shared that her daughter chose the illustrator, Kim Barnes. I liked the colorful and whimsical illustrations of the various children that were shown having fun at a birthday party, playing musical instruments, doing artwork, being a caregiver, riding a bike and dancing. I was particularly touched by the first page, which is a festive presentation where you fill in the name of who you are giving the book to, With Love from, and the date. If I had a young child I would definitely buy this book because it has important and positive messages that parents should instill in their kids. Uplifting book

This book is fantastic. I preordered this book for my niece and nephew. It is such a sweet book. And after reading it once to twin 3yrs they remembered We are so glad they were born.
