This robe is beautiful - longer length as I had preferred, and well made; however, there is a small patch of terry fabric where the terry is unraveling and creating a bare spot. Since Macy’s doesn’t take returns on items from this vender, I’ll have to make additional contacts and hope for an exchange. Macys has always been extremely reliable for me so I’m hoping this alternate vender will be as well, but I really don’t have time for this effort. Here's an edit: Macy's came through as usual! A replacement is on the way and I've already received a return label - no third party or middle man. Thank you, Macy's A++!

Mid weight terry robe
I really like the weight of this terry robe. It's not too heavy or too light. I'm a usual size small, so the S/M runs a bit large, but I just roll the sleeves. Length hits the calves.

Poor quality
Very poor quality item. Looks like it’s falling apart after a single machine washing

Quality Control
I am greatly disappointed with Macy's quality control on this item. I bought an Ink and Ivy bathrobe last Christmas an absolutely love it. I decided to buy another. However, this robe must have been on display or a returned item. It had a perfume fragrance,I thought it may have come form the perfume leaflets enclosed in the shipping bag. Since I am highly allergic I washed it. After washing irregularities showed up. I am terribly disappointed and I hope Macy's will return to their former quality control.

Not Symmetrical Oddly Shaped
My husband bought me this as a present. I wanted a bathrobe, not a project, but it has to go back and I have to start over. I ordered the L/XL, because I figured there wouldn't be enough fabric to wrap around with a S/M and I was correct about that. The robe is very boxy and the sleeves hang to mid-thigh on me. I am short, so the robe is full length on me, which is fine. What is really not fine is the seam from the collar to the shoulder. The seam is 6" on the right shoulder and 7.5" on the left shoulder. The left shoulder seam hangs about 3" down my arm. So the garment is poorly made. I also have big concerns about the terry unraveling. It came tied in a bow and the fabric under the bow and where the garment was folded looked frayed as though it would unravel easily from pressure or normal use. (Others have mentioned this in reviews.) The pinkish color was fine.

no fold over fabric around bottom
When I wear a robe, I prefer to be covered and cozy and comfortable. This robe is, best way to put it, made for men. The shoulder is big and boxy and wide, the arms long and heavy. There is no cross over fabric, so if you have hips that are wider than your waist, as most women do, this robe is not going to want to stay closed. It is exactly designed like a cardigan sweater you would wear open because there is no fabric to keep you covered in the front. I am completely annoyed because I wanted a BATHROBE not something I'd have to wear with something under it. I suppose it'd be possible, but I can tell immediately I would feel awkward and uncomfortable. I don't understand how someone could not design a BATHROBE properly. If you, for some reason have exceptionally long arms, no hips, maybe a hunchback would help keep it shut in front., the fabric is soft and the color is nice.
