Love them but can't wear them

These are not stretchy at all. I have the JAG Maddie short and it's stretchy and I love it, so I ordered two more pairs. However, I was out of the country 3 weeks and when I came back learned that I missed the return window by 10 days. I only wanted to exchange them for a different size. But now they won't let me exchange them (tags still on and all).
