this speaker has good sound, for the 5 min it works, unplugged. otherwise, it is absolute sh*t. it is like a woman who needs to get licked 40 min, before being turned on, then turns off again, despite being plugged in. i am about to football toss it into the river. do not buy, even for cheap, used. its a source of frustration you (and i) do not want.

Great speaker
I’ve had this speaker before a couple years ago but when my ex took it I just had to buy another because I fell in love with its sound, bass, and light show. Highly recommend to those who love listening to music around the house!

my favorite speaker
I was given this speaker a couple of years ago and i love it. i use it everyday, take it with me most places. it is water resistant (in the sense of being in a very steamy room and being touched with water every once in a while), and i have never had any issues with it. the charge is super long, the audio is really good, and the app makes the color and everything just kinda great. 10/10 recommend for a dark shower and the lights of the speaker lighting up the room too

Speaker stopped connecting
I only had this speaker for about two months before it completely wouldn’t connect to my phone anymore. I’ve tried everything; the factory reset, completely charging it, forgetting the device on my phone and tying to re-pair it, even restarting my phone as well. It won’t pair at all and every time I go to my bluetooth devices and try to select, it immediately says “out of range” or “pairing took too long”, even though my phone is right next to it. My speaker is just constantly stuck in pairing mode, but won’t actually connect to anything. It’s super disappointing because the quality of the sound is really good, but it’s not worth that price if it’s just going to stop working in a couple months.

Not a bad speaker, needs more lighting options
I recently bought the Pulse 4, and while I do like the outward look/appearance of the speaker i feel like something is missing, and think its missing in the JBL app. Seems to me the features are somewhat limited on it. When buying a speaker with lights and a price like these I want to be able to have significantly more control of lighting options. I believe the app gives only 4-5 options, that's not to say that the app isn't good, because it is good. Ability to operate and learn the app is quick and simple. It just needs more in the form of lightening control. As for the speaker itself it's not bad, it seems to put out a decent sound, you can certainly feel it's quality as soon as you pick it up.....it's extremely solid. Don't drop it on your foot or you be seeing your other doc.
