Perfect for wedding

My mom love this dress and will be wearing it to my wedding. She is in her 60s 126 pounds and 5 foot two. size 6 fit her perfectly except the length which is a easy fix. I was hesitant about the scuba material but it turned out to be a really good look for this dress. The overall quality surpassed my expectation given the price.

Looks really nice on

Bought this in a 14 & 16 and ended up with the smaller of the two. I'm pear shaped and bigger on the bottom than on top so I will have to have it altered. The sleeves are a tad long and not as fitted as I'd like them to be. This gown has an unfinished hem but doesn't matter in my case because I'm shortening this to a midi length. I'm 5' 3" and 186 lbs. I'll will probably wear some type of shapewear but probably wont be needed as this material is very forgiving. Overall I like how it looks on and it was affordable.

So elegant on a senior citizen

This dress is elegant for a late fall or winter event because fabric is a heavy knit. The back is longer than the front to give it a mermaid style, but I had seamstress cut hem evenly all around. It definitely runs small, order one size up. It is such a classic beautiful dress. The fabric is called scuba knit, does not ravel, and just needs seamstress to do a clean cut all around without sewing a hem. I was so lucky to find this dress at my local Macy’s store but almost didn’t even try it on because the size was over my usual size. I usually take a size 4 or 6, but 8p off rack fit perfectly except for length.

While it is a very elegant dress; I did return as I realized during the short time I had on that the fabric would be too heavy and hot for an evening summer wedding. The dress sizing seemed true to size; however, I noticed a more mermaid style cut, which was not flattering to me. Best for a fall event.

Elegant

Picture does not do this dress justice. Very elegant and feels great on. I would suggest sizing up I am normally a size 6 I had to get a 10P in this Very happy with dress
