Comfy but Squeaky

Very comfortable shoes, but they have a horseshoe shaped heel. After about 5 days, it started squeaking with every step I took.

Great fit but you won't sneak up on anybody

The shoe fits great and is very comfortable to wear all day. However, everybody knows your walking down the hall with all of the squeaking each shoe makes as you take a step. My co-workers have offered me lubricating oil to lube them down, but I don't think that would work either.

Comfortable Shoe, but Squeaks horribly

Ended up returning this shoe. Its very comfortable, but despite trying several things, just could not get it to stop squeaking in the heel of the shoe. That being said I bought a different J&M shoe as I've historically had good success with them.

6th Pair!

I love J&M shoes. I ordered my 7th and 8th pair recently. I wear them everyday and when they get worn out, replace. I was surprised that these shoes came from the manufacturer with a few imperfections on them. Wasn’t worth returning but I hope Johnston and Murphy keep their standards high. I looked at other pricey shoes and just isn’t worth it.

Good looking shoe that really talks to you

A nice looking shoe that fits well. The padded insert is actually pretty good. I have high arches so I am always a little disappointed there isn't more of that in all shoes I buy. But the one unexpected is with the soles. While they are well made, the design creates an opportunity for two parts of the sole to rub together while walking and create an audible squeak. Hopefully, this will go away as the soles wear down.
