Handle becomes loose over time (less than a year of daily use). It looks like you can screw it back in but the entire screw box works itself loose and cannot be tightened to the kettle. It has become a safety issue-we are afraid it will detach completely when lifting a hot kettle so we are discarding. Additionally, the whistle is too quiet (cant be heard from the next room) and does not work unless you push it closed (latch doesn’t lower it enough). It’s too bad because the size and colors are great.

The teapot itself is very cute and looks nice on my stove, definitely just to be used as a decoration as the handle gets extremely hot and the whistle doesn’t really work

I love the design so much! However, I would not purchase this item for some reasons. The interior coating started to get rusted and peel off within half a year of use. I use 1-2 times a week. Also, the kettle handle and the lids are made of metal, which might get your hands scalded.
