Glass bowls are the best
I love seeing what Im mixing and the glass bowls allow me to do that easily. I don't have to look above the mixer, I can see clearly whether my egg whites are whipped, or if my batter has combined or if my bread is kneaded and rising! ..

I want to purchase a glass bowl for my mixer because I make candy that requires you to pour boiling syrup into the bowl and mix with egg whites. Will this bowl handle the hot syrup without cracking or damaging the bowl

Does not have the protective gasket like the picture indicates, just glass Will be returning

Won't stay locked it...unsafe.
I have had this glass bowl for about 2 years now but have only tried to use it a couple times. I have gone back to the stainless steel bowl my mixer came with. The glass bowl seems to lock in place but then as soon as I start mixing anything it spins around and unlocks from the bottom. I have checked the bottom and it looks fine (no chips or anything) and the metal bottom of the mixer seems fine. My other bowl locks it with no issues. Very unsafe as I'm afraid it will shatter.

Not the bowl in the picture
I ordered a 5qt kitchenAid mixer bowl and according to the picture should have a Grey ring that screws on the bottom. The bowl that was sent does not have this attachment.

Image is not what you will receive.
Product does not match the image. The actual product does not include the lower collar. Without it the bowl continually comes loose from the base of the mixer.
