Loud Grinding Sound

I have had the blender for several years, and use it infrequently, maybe once or twice a month. About a year ago, it started making a loud grinding sound every the time I used it, no matter the speed or setting.

Speeds are easy to adjust for proper mixing

No replacement jar

After only 1 year the 56 oz large jar started leaking into the base and the blade was freezing so it was stressing the motor. I’ve stopped using it to spare the motor and only using the small jar. I can’t find a replacement large jar anywhere on the web! Not cool Kitchen Aid!

I expected better. Disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly I expected more. When I use frozen fruit the blender really struggles to blend everything. The ice function is wonderful, but the fruit takes forever. Sometimes have to do 8 rounds of blending before it will work. And then I have to keep opening and stir to ensure it gets everything. For how much this blender cost… I’m disappointed. When it does finally get it going.. it’s great. But it takes so long to do that. And I don’t want to wait 30 plus minutes to get my morning smoothie.

This is it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as a wedding present to ourselves. The first thing that won me over was the engraving. Subtle but sweet! I’ve always been scared of blenders but this one is different. Set it and forget it functions mean I can step away knowing my smoothie will be ready when I get back. It’s a lot quieter than ones I have used before and only takes seconds to blend! Absolutely love this product. I use it everyday for my protein smoothies.
