NO REPLACEMENT FOR THE CARAFE

Best coffee maker until I had to move, and the CARAFE broke in the move. Tried for the last 3 years for the replacement of the CARAFE. Kitchen Aid and their ZERO help (can't even send them an email, to locate where I could find a 8 cups replacement CARAFE).. Once I purchased this coffee maker, I purchased up to 5 different appliances, and regret it, because if they break, I know I can't get the service I desserve...

Nice upgrade from my old coffee maker

Overall, I am very pleased with this coffee maker. The coffee it brews is much better than my old machine. I have one comment and one complaint. The comment: Since this machine is supposed to mimic the pour-over method, I expected a flat bed of grounds when the brewing was done. Instead, the ground bed is surprisingly conical. The complaint: I have the maker set to brew 3 cups of coffee but it brews 4. It isn't the grounds. I use the same coffees I used with my old maker. On that machine, the amount of water out was very close to the amount of water I put in. The grounds I use are pre-ground rather fine (#4 grind) and I weight them before putting them into the machine. It's not a big problem. I've gotten used to it. Again, overall, I am very pleased with the machine.

Quit working

I purchased this coffee maker with a Mixer, toaster and kettle. I’ve had this coffee maker for about 3 years and it recently quit working. I expected more from KitchenAid due to their reputation of quality small appliances. I did not use this machine very much and was quite disappointed when it quit working. I did notice over the past year it wasn’t brewing coffee very hot compared to when I purchased it new. The reason I bought this particular model because it was recommended by the SCAA.

My second KA pour over

I’d had a KitchenAid pour over coffee brewer for the past few years. It recently began leaking water. I didn’t hesitate to purchase another. That said, it’s a bit pricey, but better than drinking bitter coffee.

I love the kitchen aid red for a pop of color in my kitchen. I wish this coffee maker had a 2 hour shut off instead of a 1 hour shut off.

Do not buy this!

While i loved the coffee maker I am shocked to discover there are no replacement carafes for this. It is still being sold! Bad practice Kitchenaid.
