I have had experience cooking with pressure cookers for over 40 years and have owned several made in China, India, USA... I purchased the Lagostina and upon unpacking I was impressed by the unique design, high quality materials and the obvious attention to detail in manufacturing. I have used it for a full spectrum of meal preps, soups to roast and noticed how flawlessly it performed. You wont experience any leaking around the seals like other types due to it unique design. Its surprisingly quiet and very user friendly.
small for bones soup
I was hoping to use it to make bones soup, this pot is small if the bones already take up some space. The max water level is a little higher then the middle of the pot. So I returned it. I hope Macy's sell some high end pressure cookers that is bigger, like 9 or 10 Qt. will be very nice. I can only rate it by the size since I never use it to cook.
