Lagostina Dutch Oven

Copper cookware has a long history with the best cooks and chefs worldwide. Period. It heats and cooks evenly and looks gorgeous- when properly cared for. The negative remarks made by certain folks comes from inexperience with copper cookware. It does take maintenance to own and proudly display this, and all quality copper cookware. Be prepared to use a non-abrasive copper cleaner once a month to maintain the appearance of your copper ware. Otherwise, purchase some inexpensive non-stick utensils from Asia. Dry your copper after washing- less spots. Nothing looks like copper in your kitchen

Cooks Good, Looks Not So Good

As with other reviewers I was excited to get this dutch oven. I've used it about 5 times and I ordered it in December. It cooks good but again like the others my lid tarnished after the 2nd use. The copper has faded and it won't come back. I use copper cleaner cleaner to clean it and it still doesn't come off. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the functionality and I'd give it 2 stars for appearance.

Perfect size

This pot is the size I have been looking for, I like it very much, but I don't like the copper cover. After use, there will be traces of water. If it is a glass cover, it is perfect!

I love the size and quality of these medium-sized pots. They have the heavier bottoms that I enjoy cooking with and are easy to clean.

Great Dutch oven

I'm so happy having this stainless steel Dutch oven, very sturdy and solid but not too heavy and easy to clean, you can use on any stove. It's heat quickly, use it for cook every day. And I love how it's look, so stylish.

Cooks food really well

First of all I would like to say when I first received my Dutch oven I fell in love with the way that it looked. The design is simply beautiful and looks as if it would last, also it looks quite expensive. As I used it I made a beef pot roast it's cooked perfectly even and it tastes delicious. After we were done eating our pot roast I washed the Dutch oven and the lid, but as I was watching it I noticed that the copper lid and the bottom of the pan was tarnished. When it dried it had tarnish spots all over it the copper in the pan and lid the beautiful copper finish did not last at all. The look totally faded but it's still Cooks the food perfectly even and it is durable so for that I would say use at your own expense. I will definitely recommend for the durability of cooking but I will not recommend because of the look it tarnishes not the stainless steel but the copper.
