Brightens up even a tired face
Red Is Drama was my pick 🖤💋🖤 I fell into the rabbit hole of the ad campaign for the National Lipstick Day and got two (I guess a separate review would be appropriate for the second lipstick in a red velvet case 🌹). I don’t regret it. I had wanted a flaming red lipstick of this caliber for years and I own a few less expensive ones, all of which I love. But a want feels sinfully decadent to go for… I found a picture of a similar lipstick on my old tablet from 2018 and understood why I was triggered by this offer. I’m an artist and I’m pleased to have my alias engraved on this goodness in a tube, as well as one of Lancôme perfumes. Can’t help but comment on the intelligence of business approach that the company applies to the audience via emails, loyalty program etc to create this moth-to-a-lightbulb feeling. But I am a beauty junkie and as long as this is a win-win I don’t mind. Go ahead and “enchant me more” as was in ‘Medusa’ song by Clan of Xymox. 🖤 The quality is superb. I don’t like the word “product”: it feels profane and not in line with what a frail little lady wanting to be fancy goes for. It’s more of a business art as Andy Warhol would put it. The texture, how it coats the lips and looks elegant, how my features lit up… The overall vibe. That’s what I ultimately go for. Please note that I play with settings a lot on my phone and the colors may not be the exact match even though I tried to achieve it. Also I would personally never wear a bold color lipstick without a lip pencil! (Yes I got the Idole lip liner too, and the sharpener). Well worth the splurge. I guess the challenge now is to wear it as often as I can, guilt free and not just let it sit on the shelf for a special occasion. And btw, I’m “not recommending” this because I feel possessive of what I love, like a diva who wants to be the only one standing out 😋 Thank you for always raising the bar and not cutting down on quality.

New favorite lipstick!
Received this color in a GWP a few years ago, love the color and the finish. Just ordered my first full sized tube and it's still my fave!
