akward fitting

I waited for this item to go on sale as I had purchased the tortoiseshell looking one last year. The fit is different and does not want to lay right around my neck plus the focus at the center is not the center link, it is the silver link accent. I think the tubes are slightly longer but not sure that is the only reason. Although I loved the 'look', the necklace went back. My neck is about average...neither skinny or fat. Don't know why it didn't fit around my neck very well.
