Worst Purchase

Lauren RL Lauren Pearl Cake Knife and Server: The pearl handles are poorly coated with the pearl. On the side of the knife there is a 2" seam that looks like someone glued it in a child's art class. The pearl on that seam was not sanded or polished. There were also rough places on the server handle that were not sanded or polished.. On the server, the curved metal stem that connects the pearl handle to the server paddle, has a 1/4" nick in the metal on the top side. Easily seen. Cute set and design but the pearl handles are not up to par. This is the first, ever, Ralph Lauren item I've purchased that was defected. Had the manufacturer thoroughly inspected the set, it would not have left the plant. I did return the set.I give it 1 star because of the poor craftsmanship of the pearl handles and the nick in the metal.

Superb wedding gift solution by Ralph Lauren & Lenox

I finally found a beautiful (wedding) cake server set that will not stay in the drawer long for years after the wedding! This set by Ralph Lauren is just perfect! The classic look of Mother of Pearl handles does not shout "Cheesy Wedding Gift". Gorgeous yet wonderful for everyday, family gatherings or celebrations. I hadn't seen this set anywhere else I shop but Macys had it online and price was just as attractive!
