Awesome comic!

Lego took two things I really like, Ninjago and comics, and put them together! The storytelling was great, even though it was a little confusing at one point or another (he constantly dreamt), and the drawings were even better! You could see the hours behind behind every page, and I loved it. I would recommend this to any ninjago fan, new or veteran.

Great read for Ninjago fans!

I am a big comic book enthusiast and when I heard that one of my favorite comic book companies was making this garmadon series I had to check it out! It reminds me of the old paper cut Z comic books from back in the day. The book has plenty of pages and great art for its price. The cover art is my favorite piece of art from the whole book. The story is well written and dose not interfere with the story of the show to my knowledge. Garmadon has always been one of my favorite characters in the series and this book was needed.

Some of the Best Ninjago Content Ever Made

I haven't read a proper Lego comic since Bionicle and that was over 10 years ago but this is worthy successor! I always love when Ninjago dares to tell a darker story that appeals to older fans and this comic fully succeeds in that regard. Firstly, this comic tells a really interesting story about Garmadon and his character. It frankly tells its story better than some of the later Ninjago seasons (looking at you Crystalized). The art is clear and nostalgically Lego but I love how it's so much more intense than I would have expected! Like this books goes hardcore in some places with fighting and even blood! By being in a comic and not a mainstream show, this book was allowed to take risks the show can't and I loved that, I want to see more of these older and more intense Ninjago stories to supplement the more kid friendly content. It's also dirt cheap, way less than another comic of comparable length and the exclusive cover looks so cool. My only criticisms are as follows: The page size is smaller than the actual comic issues. I don't know why they did that, it shrinks the great art and it makes the book simnifically smaller than any other standard graphic novel. Second, Lego really didn't care about how they packaged this book, it was just thrown in there. They need to put it some kind of bag or container to make sure the corners and pages don't get ripped. Seriously Lego, package the book better. Overall it's a great book, a great read, and not just a great comic book and piece of Ninjago media but one of the most heartfelt and high quality things I've read in a while. I really want Lego to explore this untapped market of Lego comics with more Ninjago books that can take things further than their mainstream content. My only criticisms are the smaller page size and bad shipping but the pros still strongly outweigh the cons.

Beautiful Look into Ninjago

The story is wonderful, about the biggest bad guy of all of Ninjago, but told in classic Lego style. It's filled with stakes, Adventure and comic book fights, Lego's signature soft and friendly humor, and the best part is it takes place in the Ninjago show universe to explore where Garmadon was before the Crystallized season. For the first comic book Lego put out in the past decade, it was a sure win, and perfect for every Ninjago fan's shelf! NOTE: Lego does not take care of the book when packaged with lego sets. Mine came in with a few sets, the back cover was bent in places, and tearing in others. If you can, either buy this on it's own, or go to the lego store directly to get the best condition.
