Nice kit!
This was a fun challenging build! I took it very methodically while building the airlines and pump mechanism which was rewarding when it all worked correctly! As a fan of all sorts of tractors, this is a fantastic addition to my collection!

Fun Build
The build was fun for the most part. I was only missing one piece, but it wasn't critical to keeping the building together. The issue I had was the tubes. It wasn't clear where come of the tubes connected in the 3D schematic. I zoomed and twisted the image around to find figure it out, but it was still difficult. It would have been helpful if the tubes were red, green, yellow. Instead of the standard black and gray. I must have crossed some tubes because the crane doesn't stay in the up position and the claw opens after a few minutes.

Great Play Value and Great Pieces
The Skidder has been my favourite set this year. A good mix of pneumatic and other functions and plenty of pieces to re-use in My Own Creations. I bought 4 sets and made a pneumatic robot that is programmed to spell "JOY" in semaphore flags when air is supplied, which I exhibited (see picture). Lovely green pieces too; so glad you made the John Deere sets and I look forward to more of them. The tube routing was tricky, re-ordering the tubes at each instruction stage, but it went well. Many tube pieces are the same length so I would appreciate a supply of metres of tubing to cut to length for MOCs but otherwise this set is a great supply of pneumatic pieces.

my 4 yr old's experience
This Lego was one of our kid's summer projects. We do not help him build. He's 4 yrs old. He asked me why the section of the tubes was not working. I, my husband, and our sitter (who is very proficient in Legos) examined the problem. I called Lego about how the section wasn't working. The lady was very kind. She told us about the 3D building app--we did not know about this. We pulled up the 3D builder and the directions for the tube section are completely different than the booklet. The system works when using the 3D model. Overall though, I am not a fan of the stability Lego. But, I absolutely love the giant machinery pieces. Our kid likes to play with what he builds. This model is a bit fragile. Often little parts will pop off. One of the tubes came off inside and I had to spend hrs taking pieces off (and trying to memorize where they go back) to reach where it had to be re-attached.

Fun after completed but was missing lots of part
It was a fun set after completing but building it was a pain because it was missing parts and it wasn't like 1 or 2 it was a ton so the set took much longer to complete after having to order all the missing pieces

This was the first Technic kit I've built in a very long time. Everything went together as it should and was not difficult at all. Follow the diagrams and it will go easy. Pay close attention to the routing and plumbing of the hoses. Enjoy the build
