Sweet book that kids and parents will love

Let Me Call You Sweetheart: A Confectionery of Affection, written by Mary Lee Donovan and illustrated by Brizida Magro, is such a sweet, wonderful book. From cupcake to pumpkin, from sweet pea to kitten, from lambkin to goose, Donovan gives so many different names that people use to describe their little loved ones. I love that she includes terms of endearment in a variety of languages besides English--bambolino, mi cielito, carinho--with a glossary at the back. Magro beautifully imagines and illustrates all these terms, and her drawings also show children tending and showering affections on their beloved objects or pets, from pups to buttercups to chickens. It's a perfect bedtime book, reminding children of how much they are loved. Parents and children will love this book.
