I never received my order. stolen identity
I would never use Macy’s curbside pick up again. They lost my order and it was for a special occasion. The department is in disarray and there seem to be only two people working if there were more people working than they were hiding in the stockrooms. My order could not be found and I was told they made a mistake and it was somewhere in Massachusetts waiting to be shipped but yet when I placed the order, it was in stock at the Colonie center Macy’s in Colonie New York. I did receive a phone call from a manager when I wrote a review , and gave zeros on all of the questions. The manager apologize and my concern was that my card my credit card was exposed. My credit card was used after I placed the order and I had to cancel my credit card because of the theft of my credit card after I had placed the order online, and as I stated, I never received the item that was supposedly in stock and meant for a special birthday, where it was to be at the head of the table for the birthday recipient. It was embarrassing because this was a special birthday and the party was held in a well-known high-end restaurant in our area and the special glass was supposed to be at the place setting for the birthday recipient. Several weeks had gone by and as I stated, my credit card was being used after I had placed the order with your company. Your manager told me my order was canceled , and there was no need to worry about a charge showing up. On July 5 a charge for $81 appeared on my bank statement and a week later I received an email stating that my order was ready for pick up at the store. I was puzzled because I had spoken to , a manager who worked at Macy’s Corporate and she told me that my card was not processed and the order did not go through. Obviously almost a month later my card was charged and someone from the Macy’s mine facility began using my credit card and as I stated a charge for the item appeared a month later, but I never received the merchandise and the event had been over for over a month and I no longer needed nor wanted the wine glass for the special birthday. The manager from the corporate office assured me the order had been canceled , and there was no need to worry because the order did not go through their system. I did have my bank stop payment and I told them that I never received the merchandise and I did receive a call from a manager apologizing for the lack of professionalism that did occur the day I went to pick up the item and apologize for the item not being available. As I stated almost a month and a half later, I just received a notification. My order was ready for pick up and I was charged for an item that I no longer needed, but was assured was canceled by the manager at the corporate office. I would advise to all customers be very careful with placing orders with Macy’s for same-day pick up because there are only a few workers in the entire store or I should say only a few employees, and the fact that my credit card was compromised online on the Macy’s website was frustrating and of course a nuisance because I had to order a new card and my bank had to stop the payment for an item that I never received but yet somehow my card was charged a month later but yet my card was within that same week compromised. It is clear that Macy’s is struggling, but the worrisome part of the entire situation is the fact that supposedly a corporate manager called me to let me know that my order did not get placed and my card was not compromised, but this was not the case because as I stated a month later , my credit card was charged for the item that I ordered for the in stock pick up and I never picked up the item because it was over a month too late and I was told the order was canceled, but somehow my card was used at Macy’s for an item that I did not picked up and was told was canceled and reassured that the credit card number was not compromised. Do Not order anything from Macy’s especially there one day pick up Service because the items are not in stock and as I stated there were only two employees working in the entire two floors , where I was sent to pick up my items or items. They had no record of my item, but yet I had the printout in my hand with the charge process to my account for the amount of the item, but as I stated, the manager assured me that the item was never processed and they were not in possession of my credit card. Well, someone at me certainly did have my credit card number and used my card and as I stated a month and a half later, I received an email stating that my order was ready for pick up . This order was to have been canceled and my bank did block the payment. This presented obviously a hassle for me because I had to order a new bank card and worry about my personal information being in the hands of whoever handles the online orders. I have blocks on all of my credit cards and debit cards. My name, address, and personal information was compromised.
