I'm not THAT big

I purchased this coat, despite the warning that it ran small. I'm a 2x-3x, but I purchased the 4x, thinking if I sized up, I'd be able to layer, wear thick sweaters, have room. Was I wrong! The color is beautiful, but it runs WAY small.
