I was looking for a dress for an afternoon, small wedding ceremony. I'm 61-yrs-young, 5'10 34A and typically wear xs/s in tops and 4/6 in bottoms carrying a bit more weight in my hips and a smaller waist. I'm at the age where I don't want to dress "too young" (but) also don't want to dress "too matronly". I felt this dress fit my needs; bought in the green. On my tall frame, dress length on me was as shown on the model. I ordered a size 6 and was a perfect fit. Also want to note that I liked the sleeve length.. not too short and not too long.

My First Try with Metric Sizing Fail

I ordered the size 16 and it was big allover. I decided not to size down because of the V neck and side seam cut. I did find another brown dress from Macy's that worked for me.

Pretty feminine dress with flouncy ruffle hem.

This is a great little black dress. I'm 5'4, 118lb, and the 6 Petite fits perfectly. Comfortable, light-weight fabric that has a pretty fitted cut/drape. I like the length of the short sleeves since many dresses, have short sleeves that are too short. A wonderful feature is the ruffle hem. It's flouncy and moves well as you walk - a nice, feminine touch that's very Audrey Hepburn.

Tailored to the Body

The packaging alone impressed me. This must have been the nicest I’ve received in a while. The fabric is thin but not transparent. This dress will make a nice addition to my church attire. The color reminds me of pumpkin purée.
