Web ID: 16836467Surprisingly wonderful book
As I read this book, I began to find myself agreeing with or had personally experienced similar things; it felt like the author and had collaborated with several examples featured in this book. Although, I’m finding it difficult to benefit from it when my better half isn’t putting in the sweat equity too. However, I’m both prayerful and hopeful. This is definitely a must read; I’m rating this book an easy 10 out of 10.

Beware! Twists scripture and very misleading!
While I believe the author meant well, it is purely opinion of the author and twists scripture. It has been a very damaging and misleading counsel to so many relationships and marriages. It has been brought to the attention of the author and Focus on the Family's attention of the damage done, but they ontinue to uplift this book and false teachings of scripture. Both men and women desire love and respect! We don't need one more book to teach us what is wrong in marriages. We have scripture. When scripture is translated and interpreted correctly, we see the husband is to love like Christ did, laying his life down for all. The husband is NOT Christ, but only to love like Christ. Both are to submit (love and serve) one another as in Ephesians 5:22 (v. 23 in the original did not have the word submit but carried over from v. 22 as a picture of what submission was to look like.) God warned in Genesis what would ocurr due to sin, the man will rule over women, not because that is what God intended or created from the beginning but it was due to sin . ESV translators have an agenda and have translated certain scripture in Genesis 3 to make out like the women would need to be ruled over due to being contrary to her husband, Grudem and Piper specifically that are linked to The Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood had an agenda and still do today. To put women in there place (they do their best to make it sound good and godly but is not from the heart of God, man-made theology only.... please be careful of translations with agendas that do not match the character of Jesus. There is a huge community of christians that have been blinded by cult leader Gothard back in the 70's and 80's and many are still following his principles in theology and churches today. Wake up Christians.... focus on Jesus Christ and read the Word though his Spirit and understanding, Any scripture that promotes hierarchy, oppression and abuse is being mistranslated and misread.
