Tight: good for mid-layer; bad for outer layer

to my surprise, I liked it. Not b/c I wanted to wear it for people to see--it's too tight for that--but b/c I felt it'd make a good mid layer inside of slim fitting goretex shells (e.g. Alpinist).

Warm, comfortable, stylish

I got this as a gift for my daughter in Florida. Yes, it does go into the 40’s and 50’s here, and sometimes the 30’s. Inevitably people run around freezing because it’s Florida, so why should we buy winter outerwear? This a perfect mid weather or layering jacket. She has worn it already (Christmas/New Year). Warm, not bulky, stylish, reportedly comfortable. It can also be used as an under layer with her fleece. Got it in Port Royal and it turned out to be a very classy color.

The perfect hybrid

I love this jacket. I have it in two colors. It is equal parts light thermal coat/rain jacket. This jacket is lined through the chest and sleeves leaving the bottom half as a rain jacket. Perfect for wet or cool Pacific Northwest days. Comfortable to a low 39-40 degrees. I am a 34B, 5’5”, 125lbS and a Medium fits perfect with a layer underneath. I could probably wear a small with only a tshirt if I wanted a very fitted look.

Love!

Love the fit and the lighter weight of this jacket. It's remarkably warm, though I wouldn't call it a true winter-weight coat. It would fit comfortably under a heavy-duty shell. I typically order up a size in Marmot jackets and I'm glad I did with this one as well.
