But Warren has a theory about Bridgette anyone who can hate with that much passion should also have the capability to love with that much passion. And he wants to be the one to test this theory. Unexpected

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this novella but I enjoyed it and finished it in a few hours which I never do! At first I didnt really care for Warren and Bridgette and couldn't see them being together but they're alike in so many ways and I wish this was a longer story but either way I loved it! Now I'll be starting Maybe Now.

Roommates, bit steamy, Warren & Bridgette’s story

A short novella with the story being focused on Warren and Bridgette. This had kind of a tiny bit of enemies to lovers due to Warren and Bridgette’s constant fighting and hurling insults at each other. The tension between Bridgette and Warren was a clear indication of how they secretly wanted each other, and made up for some steamy scenes between them. Having previously read, “Maybe Someday”, which was Ridge and Sydney’s story, Warren was introduced in that book. Warren was the funny, laid back, smart mouth who loved doing pranks, and obviously pushing a certain roommates buttons. Bridgette also having been introduced in the previous book as well, she came off as unlikeable and seemed like she was always angry at everyone, especially Warren. With the forced proximity due to being roommates in the apartment, this novella gave insight as to how Warren and Bridgette met, and how their unconventional… hookup? Romance?.. not exactly sure what to call it but they ended up sleeping together and somehow things started to change from there. I found Bridgette to be harsh, but then again it was mentioned that she was going through some things in her life so I kind of didn’t hold it personally against her. Thankfully with more context and a bit more information from Bridgette, she redeemed herself and I realized she wasn’t bad after all. Warren was still the same smart mouth with no filter and just going about his life. I wouldn’t say Warren was my absolute favorite, but compared to Bridgette, he was better. I found Warren to be amusing and I liked seeing him with Ridge (Yay Ridge). Of course, seeing Ridge come out in the novella was lovely because I love him, and of course when Sydney eventually moves in and meets everyone. I will say that the steamy scenes between Bridgette and Warren were pretty good. The steamy scenes kind of came off as, “I really don’t like you, but we’re going to get each other off” kind of vibes if you get me. Bridgette seemed content with just hooking up with Warren and that being the end of it. Meanwhile, Warren couldn’t being kind of obsessed with Bridgette an when they would hookup, he would get so lost in her that he wanted more and more of her. In the end, both Warren and Bridgette came out to admitting their feelings to each other and in their own unique way they went about their relationship on their own terms. I will say that despite Bridgette and Warren having a weird start to their relationship, along the way they nurtured each other’s feelings (more Warren assuring Bridgette & showing her she did deserve to be loved, etc.) found happiness with each other. Overall, short, bit spicy, Warren being funny and Bridgette challenging Warren at every turn in the novella.

Cute Novella

I actually really liked that Hoover dove more into Warren's relationship with Bridgette. I adored Warren in Maybe Someday and I knew I would love this dive into his mind. I thought this story was very cute and sweet.

Weird & Sweet

This novella about Warren and Brigette is the perfect tidbit to remind me how much I love CoHo. The dynamics between this couple are so confrontational and so sweet. They are the two of the weirdest people who are perfect for each other. I had my heart melted and laughed almost the whole while. Colleen Hoover is one of the few authors who balances emotional levels with precison. She always manages to gently break my heart and put it back together with humor and frank honesty. Maybe Not is poignant and refreshing, a must read for those who want to experience the essence of CoHo.
