Colorful, sturdy, and simple to use.
The child I bought it for is entertained with a piece of cardboard, she has a great imagination, so I'm very hopeful that she'll enjoy this toy immensely. That was the premise for my choice for her Christmas gift.

This was purchased as a gift for my boyfriend's nephew, for his second birthday. I was told he played with it nonstop for hours after opening it. So that's a plus. Other things I liked about this toy is how flexible it is as children develop. There are lots of exercises and opportunities for learning. It is a great size, the blocks are easy for a child to handle. This toy is a step up from the small version, and I think is very enriching overall. For the negatives: It would be great if the pegs were painted to match the colors of the blocks. This would help the younger ones. The pegs could be placed farther apart. It can be difficult to fit them on the pegs. There are 8 hexagons and 6 octagons; this gives me a little anxiety for a child's developing brain.

Never ending entertainment
This was a Christmas gift for a two year old. This is one of their favorite toys that they come back to over and over. The parents appreciated that this can be used several ways to learn shapes, numbers, colors, and start introducing simple math.
