Info Collecting

The watch looks great! Simple and classic and just the look I was going for. My gripe is with Macy's and picking up my order. Once at the watch counter, I tried to show my ID for verification and I was thrown off when the Macy's staff said she needed to physically take my license to the register because she "needed info off of it"...What info does Macys need? If I had the order delivered, giving my license wouldn't have been needed. Why for in-person pick up?
