Cute dress, youthful cut

I wear straight petite cuts at 5'2". I found this dress to be a pretty color and nice fabric. However, I found the cut to be more of a junior style in that the shirred waist sat fairly high and the skirt was even shorter than I expected. I had even used the size chart.
