I loved hearing Edward, among MANY other characters thoughts. I’ve always been a fan of finding out why people think the way they do, and this book did it for me. But if you didn’t already know before reading this book, the timeline sits during Twilight, but before New Moon.

Prefer the original
I was so excited to dive back into the world of Twilight through Edward’s point of view. Unfortunately, his introspection and long winded inner monologues really bogged down the story. I ended up speeding the audiobook up to 1.75x speed and despite the quicker pace, the action really fell flat. I was hoping to fall in love with Edward and Bella all over again, and now I’m second guessing my desire to re-read Twilight. Is Bella’s POV any quicker? Is something I loved as a teen just not my taste anymore? It almost felt to me as if Meyer's editors just let her write something without any editing required. There is so much I felt could have been entirely cut. Unfortunately, I have to give this three stars, as it felt like a chore to finish, and that started close to the beginning.

Midnight Sun Review
This entire book is what edwards point of view is from the rest of the other books (specifically the First Twilight book; Twilight 2005). Stephanie Meyer explains how Edward Cullen feels throughout this entire book, Distraught,Emotional,Romantic,Dark, and overall many other emotions to come. My enjoyment of this book was good as the other twilight books I have read, it has good wording and amazing imagination for the brain. The scenery is always nice to imagine while reading these books, it is a bit different from the first book but I can say it is nice to see his perspective here. I'd recommend this to other twilight fans out there it is a good read as well as a change of perspective, friends and family would enjoy this aswell.

Inspiration
Stephanie Meyer’s books are phenomenal. Reading her recent “Midnight Sun” has been such a delight and how she presents so much detail in Edward’s thoughts makes me NOT want to put the book down. Asya Muchnick, her editor, seems a lot like my editor. I am a newbie author, but Stephanie is definitely top ranks for inspiration! I published my first book “Benevolence” Sean N. Hornback recently. It seems Asya is an editor that everyone would need to create such a masterpiece too. Either way, Stephanie is very talented at what she puts in her writing!

This took me back!
Just as great a read as the first time! Intriguing to know the other half of the story. Was just as exciting and unsurprisingly, I could not stop reading. I read this in a week. That's how good it is.

Amazing read!
I loved getting Edward’s side of the story. Very involved and detailed which made this story that much better. I am so hopeful that we will get New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn from Edward’s point of view, even if it is just one massive book!!

Lengthy, but love it!
I really liked this book!!! Although it was 800 pages, I am glad I got to understand the perspective of Edward! It made me further understand his dilemmas, guilt, and true love he shares with Bella. I really want her to write a book based on Jacob’s perspective!

Worth reading
I read this because I love Bella and Edward's story and this tale through his eyes was done beautifully It was a little slow for me to get into only because I already knew the outcome but I’m glad I stuck with it and actually hope she does the rest of the series through Edward’s eyes. As usual she does disappoint her readers with her book
