Why do you have to buy the knife with the bowl?

This Dipping Set bowl is not made from the same material as the dishes. The dishes are china and this dipping bowl is made of porcelain. The bowl is thicker than the dishes and is a lighter color. The knife that comes with it is so cheaply made that I would not use it. I have similar knives that are part of my set of silverware and of far superior quality. It's a nice small bowl and has many uses. It would be nice to have a set to use for deserts, etc. but you have to buy the knife, too. Cut the price in half and sell just the bowl. The bowl is cute and very useful, even if the color is off. I do not recommend the knife. I guess they have to sell the knife with the bowl or no one would buy the knife.
