Not original Mikasa

These mugs are not original Mikasa mugs. I purchased these to replace mugs from my set purchased many years ago. I didn't realize Mikasa sold their company and these are manufactured by the new company. Similar, but definitely a copy. Not the same quality, color etc.

Very nice mugs, about 1"

Very nice mugs, about 1" taller than regular tea cups. Nice ergonomics. Curved top prevents cup from slipping from your hand.

It should not be described as a mug.

The description and picture of the mugs is misleading. I have mugs that I wanted to match and the mugs that I received were smaller. Perhaps my size mug is no longer available.

Mikasa French Countryside Coffee Mug

I purchased the Mikasa French Countryside Coffee Mugs separately with my place settings many many years ago because I loved the look and size of the cup. Using them everyday took a toll on several I had, so replacing a few was much needed. I received a new set of four and still love the mug with my set.

Perfect size and shape

I love these mugs. I've had Mikasa French Countryside china for 25+ years, before this size was available. I was happy to find them and use them every day. The mug holds a good amount of coffee but it's not bulky and it's elegant.

So much better than the cups and saucers.

These are more useable and easier for guest to handle. The only problem, they are just a little taller than I thought. But was able to place on the shelf with a little rearranging.
