Very Poor Quality

These are the poorest quality plates I’ve ever seen. 2 of my dinner plates have cracks and you can feel defects on the bottoms of the complete set. I’m shocked Macy’s would sale such a defective product.

Great If You Like Plates Made to Break In Half!

This was one of the most poorly made dinnerware sets I have ever bought. I read other reviews that said the plates broke in half. After I received the set, I could see why. There were hairline cracks in 6 of the 8 dinner plates I received out of the 2 sets I ordered. In addition the plates are very thin and some of the mugs wobbled on my counter. Fortunately Macys customer service was stellar and I was able to get a full refund. I did write to Mikasa, a brand that used to be excellent, to complain and I found a beautiful well made set by Over and Back.

Flaw in Design of Dinner/Salad Plates

As someone who has owned Mikasa in the past and loved it, this set is beautiful, but poorly made. I've had at least 4 dinner and salad plates break. They were not dropped or mishandled, but literally a clean break in half. I've put at least 3 of them back together again with Gorilla glue and one had to be tossed altogether because I couldn't get it to line up. There is definitely a flaw in the design in the plates and workmanship. It's a shame, a lovely set and very frustrating. I purchased two sets, tried to find replacement plates and cannot. (In the meantime, I've purchased a different set of dishes, using them along with this set.) The mugs and bowls are great. The problem is with the plates. I have a few others that have a clean line underneath from one end to the other and I'm sure in time, those plates will also just break in half just like the others no matter how careful we are.

Dining in Style!

This is a beautiful, well-made set. Perfect for casual dining and I will proudly set before my guests. I like these so much that I am purchasing a 3rd set!

Very nice dinnerware

I am very happy with the 12 place settings of Talia Mikasa casual dinnerware I purchased at Macy’s. The dinnerware is very attractive and the various pieces are well-sized. I feel comfortable using them both every day and for entertaining guests.
