    easy recipes leading to excellent results

    Easy to follow recipes that lead to great results. Most of the ingredients are pantry standards. I've seen Kristina Cho on many of my favorite cooking shows so was very pleased to receive her cookbook. It has a place on the most used shelf in my kitchen.

    Super nostalgic as someone who grew up eating these kinds of breads from Chinese bakeries. Great gift too for if you want to try out baking or have bakers in your life!

    Ultimate Cookbook

    Ah. I love this book because the content bring me back to my childhood with my mom and grandma handmade bread and snack. I cant cook as good as both of them but this book make me want too. Not only provide us with amazing recipes, the author give us a storybook about Chinesse snacks and sweet. She share about her experience and suggestion to get perfect ingredients and tools. some of it easy to replace with modern tools so dont overwhelmed with that list. Overall this is a one stop book when you need knowledge and delicious recipe of Chinesse sweets and snack.

    Best Bread recipe book ever!

    Mooncakes and Milk Bread - Sweet and Savory Recipes Inspired by Chinese Bakeries by Kristina Cho is an amazing Chinese cookbook! Reading through this, my mouth was watering. The beautiful pictures make me want to try each recipe. Just the bread section alone is enough to make this book worth buying. But there is so much more to this book than just bread. There is also cakes, tarts, cookies, breakfast recipes and drinks. The descriptions/instructions are clear and make me think I could actually make any of these recipes. I can’t wait to try some of them. I am looking forward to purchasing my own copy so I can have it on my bookshelf with all my other cookbooks.     In this book I learned about Chinese culture. I had no idea that many things might not be baked but made differently because of the cultural living spaces. Chinese history was weaved throughout the entire thing. I’m going to see Chinatowns very differently now and can’t wait to visit a bakery. The photos are wonderful in this. I got a glimpse of the authors childhood. l saw Chinese cooking spaces and yummy foods. Utensils. The author gave clear details with photos (which I love about this book). The book contains: • Lots of photos • Ingredients • Essential equipment • Recipes • History and more….. In an easy to understandable way the book provided what felt like Chinese secret recipes. There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like about it. I highly recommend it for yourself or as a gift. You won’t be sorry. And If your mouth isn’t watering after seeing this then there’s something seriously wrong with you. I just know I’m going to dream about Chinatown and food tonight. **Sigh** A special thanks to Harper Horizon via NetGalley for this wonderful ARC.

    The Best Bread

    A whole lot of my favorite food recipes in one book. This quickly became one of my favorite books for savory baking. I love that I can make some of these recipes and freeze for later. There are plenty of pictures and the directions are easy to follow. The Mother of All Milk Bread is now my go-to sandwich bread.

    Beautiful Milk Bread!

    I love how this book is constructed. Mooncakes and Milk Bread starts off with the Mother of All Milk Bread recipe and builds off of that. Different from other cookbooks that are full of completely different recipes, this one is full of recipes that begin with the same milk bread recipe. I love how it really gets you to become an expert in the dough recipe and shows you the different ways you can use it. The book is inspired by Chinese bakeries and the Chinese American experience, which I think is a unique perspective in modern baking. This is a great addition to any cookbook library.
