My son is very tall and skinny; he is always at the top of growth charts for his age. We have bought other "slim fit" items and they can still be too loose on him. I have purchased these Calvin Klein Slim Fit dress shirts multiple times from age 8 to current age of 12. We can reliably just go up 1-2 sizes when they start getting too short on the torso or arms and they always fit perfectly. My son wears these to go to symphony performances, for "dressier" events around the holidays, for weddings. I love that the Calvin Klein dress clothes for boys/teens go up to size 20, as my kid is tall (5'6") but at an in-between stage where even the slimmest adult clothes are too big. The Calvin Klein slim fit items (jacket, pants, shirt) look very nice and fit great if you have a very skinny kid. If your child/teen is average to slightly slim, these might be too tight...I think the regular Calvin Klein (not the husky) even fit a bit on the slim side, so consider trying that fit.
