Unhappy about not getting discount advertised.

Love the blue in this usually take a M in jacket but it would be too big as I am 5ft 3 & 120 lbs. so M. was 40 in hips I do not have. So decided to take the S. but won't be able to wear a sweater unless thin. At the time it was $10 Macy's money for every $50 you spent she said go on line may be on sale, So waited ordered it on line, they told me I missed the extra money off ,WHAT,??? If I was told I would've bought it then as it was not on sale the $30 extra off would have helped. I have been with Macy's for over 25 yrs. very disappointed while I was ordering it , it was advertised on TV $10 off for every 50 spent , I have spoken to customer service & the store they will not honor it, VERY UPSET !!! She should have told me to buy it then but only one register open they asked me to go on line.
